Bysteel, a company belonging to the dst group, is responsible for the works on metal structures at the new Hippodrome of Longchamp in Paris, worth more than 6 million euros and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. With a building area of 20 thousand square meters, the racecourse is set in a total area of 57 hectares.
The general contract consists of the restructuring of the former Hippodrome of Longchamp, a structure dating back to 1925, through rehabilitation, demolition and reconstruction works. With respect to the metal structure, for which bysteel is responsible, the main intervention focuses on the construction of the new "Tribune du Jockey" - the construction of connections, supply and assembly of the metallic structure and interlocking metal compnents.
For José Teixeira, chairman of the dst Group's Board of Directors, this work "reinforces the presence of the group on the French market, working for the same client of previous contracts such as the Lyon Airport or the Lilly Factory in Strasbourg. The intervention in a space with as much history as the Hippodrome of Longchamp is also a decisive showcase to enhance our image on international markets".
