Terminal 1 of Lyon Airport was the first project of bysteel with the RSHP architecture practice. This project is characterized by its futuristic looks achieved by the structural steel.
The 16-meter-tall steel columns to the outside are striking. The steel structures connections were designed by bysteel and resulted in a fluid and careful aspect. Inside there is a roof without any column, fully suspended by a complex system of tie rods.
