Grand Central Saint-Lazare is a milestone for bysteel and bysteel fs. Together they were responsible for the lots of metallic structures and the facades of this work that won an honorable mention in the prestigious Architecture Masterprize.

The Grand Central Saint-Lazare is an inescapable landmark of bysteel and for bysteel fs’s history, who were jointly responsible for the structural steel and facades for this project. 
Monet's Le Parliament, soleil couchant, is the painting that inspires the Ferrier Marchetti office for the façade of one of the project’s main elevations. The second skin of this facade mimics a detail of this piece of art from the early twentieth century, through 1600 fritted glass blades with different shades and inclinations resulting in a large-scale painting.
Given the lack of precedents in this type of facade systems, the system has undergone rigorous CSTB testing in order to successfully obtain ATEX certification.

The ParisLongchamps racecourse is a true landmark. The Pritzker Dominique Perrault project relies on the bysteel and bysteel fs integrated solution.

Recognized worldwide for being the stage of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, one of the most important equestrian events, the Paris Longchamps racecourse is a true landmark. 
The pritzker's Dominique Perrault design is inspired by the gallop of a horse which gives a slight inclination to the entire tribune. A project where the integrated solution of bysteel and bysteel fs was chosen among several because it was the one that gave the guarantees of a perfect compatibility between the two specialized trades.
From the structural steel a spectacular 30m cantilever stands out. This cantilever required special care with the deflections and vibrations of the structural steel. Despite their 200kg, the access doors to the stands glide gracefully on the architectural facades.

Paris Longchamp

Terminal 1 of Lyon Airport was the first project of bysteel with the RSHP architecture practice. This project is characterized by its futuristic looks achieved by the structural steel. 
The 16-meter-tall steel columns to the outside are striking. The steel structures connections were designed by bysteel and resulted in a fluid and careful aspect. Inside there is a roof without any column, fully suspended by a complex system of tie rods.

Terminal 1 - Lyon Airport

Terminal 1 - Lyon France Airport

An engineering milestone in which bysteel participated, being in charge of the connection design, supply, manufacture and assembly of the entire metallic structure and collaborating sheet metal.

In an unprecedented project in France, the Trinity Tower underpins its 32 floors and 158m high building on a concrete slab that overlaps a 7-lane road. As the company in charge of the connection design, supply, fabrication, and assembly of the complete structural steel and metal deck, bysteel took part in this engineering milestone. Despite the site's numerous logistical limitations and the project's complexity, bysteel was able to guarantee a rapid assembly pace, assembling one level per week.
The architecture signed by Cro and co. stands out for the various green spaces on balconies and terraces that make the tower a more comfortable and welcoming space for its users. This project has a special symbolism as it was bysteel's first project in the important economic center of La Défense.

The stunning modernist architecture of The Maybourne Riviera emerges from the rocky peninsula of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin as though it were opening a gateway to the shimmering Mediterranean Sea. 

A distinctive project that highlights bysteel fs’s design, engineering and flawess execution.

The Maybourne Riviera Hotel

The La Fontaine sports complex arouses curiosity with its irregular geometry and its golden hue. From the inside, the metallic structure, executed by bysteel, is fully visible.

The La Fontaine sports facility, which is incorporated into a heterogeneous residential mesh, piques people's curiosity with its irregular geometry and golden tone. From the inside the structural steel is fully visible. To achieve a more polished look, the pieces have been designed and made to measure. In this way, by concealing the bolts that secure the components together, it was possible to create the appearance that the entire construction is made up of a single, continuous element only.

Sports Complex La Fontaine

bysteel was responsible for the connection design and construction of the metallic structure of the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT).

The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) is a work with futuristic and daring characteristics located on the banks of the Tejo River  in the Portuguese capital, in one of the areas with the greatest historical monuments in the city.
bysteel was responsible for the design of connections and for the construction of the metallic structure of the MAAT.
This iconic work confirms bysteel's quality and efficiency and represents the rigor, safety and refined innovation that bysteel puts into all works and which are already a differentiating factor.

MAAT

MAAT Lisbon - Museum

Responsible for the metal structure painted in a contrasting orange color and for all the coatings, guardrails and façade systems, bysteel and bysteel fs assume the role of scientists and craftsmen.

The final act of Sir Richard Rogers before his formal farewell to architecture... a gravity-defying gallery that is suspended in the air.
No one is left unimpressed by this project's structural steel, which in bold orange contrasts beautifully with the surrounding green sand and blue sky. In addition to the structural steel entrusted to bysteel, bysteel fs was responsible for all the cladding and facade systems. Only in this way could the compatibility between the interfaces and the demanding constructive tolerances of this work of art be guaranteed.
In order to avoid any possible error and ensure its feasibility, the structure was pre-assembled in bysteel’s industrial unit. Upon delivery to site, the assembly of the elements was done without the assistance of equipment, a task in which bysteel’s technicians were both scientists and artisans.

bysteel was behind the construction of the metallic structure of this large-scale sculpture, designed by Carrilho da Graça.

Designed by João Luís Carrilho da Graça with the aim of flattening the irregular hilly city of Covilhã, more than a bridge, this project is a large-scale sculpture. 
The assembly process was subject to a span-by-span analysis due to the irregularity of the terrain and the height of the bridge. These were highly conditioned mainly because the central route was all mounted in the valley at ground level and then lifted to its final level.
The architect initially attempted to conceal the tiny deformations in the steel plates lining the pillars and columns, but eventually embraced them as if they were human traces.

The Urbo Business Center is an unprecedented project in Portugal, due to being the first office building to receive the BREEAM classification in this country. 
Nuno Capa's architectural design received an award at the Architecture Masterprize and was featured in the prestigious Wallpaper magazine. 
bysteel and bysteel fs proudly share responsibility for its structural steel and the bold architectural envelope that marks the entire surroundings of the building

Schiphol Airport has over 100 years of history and, with over 500,000 flights a year, is one of the busiest in Europe. For bysteel, this work marks the entry into the highly qualified and rigorous geography of the Netherlands.

With more than 500,000 flights each year, Schiphol Airport, one of the busiest in Europe, has a history spanning more than a century. Bysteel's entry into the Netherlands' highly skilled and demanding geography is marked by this project. The new A-Pier is notable for its enormous wingspan, which is approximately 1 kilometer long, 4 stories, and 55,000 m2. In charge of the 10.000tons of steel, bysteel demonstrates here its capability to develop projects of high complexity and size anywhere in the world.

Founded on a 470t superstructure in steel, designed by bysteel, Le Galaxie floats on the TGV railway line, designed by Christian de Portzamparc, winner of the Pritzker Prize.

Over the railways rises Le Galaxie.

Christian de Portzamparc, winner of the Pritzker Prize in 1995, seeks with this project to break with the corporate environment of the Paris Rive de Gauche ZAC development.
For bysteel, Le Galaxie served to affirm and consolidate its strong presence in France.

Le Galaxie Paris Offices

Once manufacturing was completed, the 36m high structure was pre-assembled at the factory. Transport to the site was carried out by boat and assembly was carried out using large cranes. The operation of the Airport was never interrupted.

At 36m high, this remote-control tower designed by the Pascall+Watson practice is a world-famous one. A 360-degree view is captured by 36 cameras at the top of the elegant structure and delivered via an armored stream to a control room 100 kilometers away, where air controllers make the decisions.
As a completely autonomous and digital tower, the project had special requirements in terms of deflections and vibration control.
After completion of manufacture, the structure was pre-assembled in the factory to ensure its feasibility. All bolted connections were designed to be concealed, which allowed to give a very clean look to the truss structure that constituted the tower. Upon the delivery of the structure to the project yard, the tower structure was assembled in 3 large sections each 12m high and transported to the project site via barge. The full assembly of the tower was then carried out with a 500ton crane in a mere 3 days and the Airport operation was never interrupted.

London City Digital Air Traffic Control Tower

Located in the sustainable neighborhood of Pointe de Trivaux, in Paris, the bold Meudon sports complex is yet another project with an integrated solution signed by bysteel and bysteel fs.

Another project with an integrated solution approved by bysteel and bysteel fs is the bold Meudon Sports facility, which is located in Paris' sustainable Pointe de Trivaux neighborhood. There is a gym, a climbing wall, paddle tennis, squash, and a skating rink in this sports facility. A football pitch is also located on the top terrace, where visitors can take in the distinctive scenery.
bysteel and bysteel fs designed, manufactured and assembled the entire structural steel and facades of the project. This includes a set of beams with a span of 45m and a height of 3m, that when supporting the football pitch saw their deflections reduced, which in turn increased the challenge for all phases of the construction process.

UCPA Meudon

UCPA Meudon Sports Complex – France

bysteel fs was responsible for the facade systems which include a spectacular curved glass facade as well as a large amount of screen printing.

Inserted in the rehabilitation development La Chapelle International, KARA is an office building of the prestigious office MÉTRA + ASSOCIÉS. 
Future-proof, this project is BREEAM very good, HQE Excellent, Well Silver and Effinergie+ certified. The façade system, which includes a stunning curved glass façade that offers this building a unique characteristic, was designed, produced, and assembled by bysteel fs.

Kara

Kara La Chapelle Paris Offices

The new Berkeley is one of the latest projects from the award-winning firm Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners. Much of the metal structure, designed by bysteel, will be visible and the design of the innovative façade system is in charge of bysteelfs.

Located in Knightsbridge and oriented towards the beautiful Hyde Park, the new Berkeley Hotel (AKA The Emory Hotel) is one of the latest designs from laureate Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners office. 
The architecture practice is known for its underlined high-tech designs and this is no exception. All the visible elements comply with AESS (Architecturally exposed structural steel) standards.
In partnership with the architecture practice, bysteel fs was responsible for the design of the innovative bespoke unitized facade system, thought and created from scratch.
